It seems like a good plan GG revising your target to take the pressure off.

Very sorry Steve to hear the sad news that your Brother in law has passed away.
Having a plan instead of a target, does seem to make sense in the circumstances.

Well done LL running /walking a tough parkrun, after your fitness dropping during your holiday. I hope you did manage a longer run today. It shouldn't be long before you regain full fitness again.

Sounds like a really horrible cold that you have been suffering with FF. Your parkrun time was very impressive. Onwards and upwards is, I suppose, the way ahead.

My new Asics arrived yesterday, so I did a short road run this morning to try them out. I ran 3.4 miles and they seemed ok.I ran a sort of fartlek, with just a few efforts. I was pleased to get up to 5.20k pace on the efforts. I won't wear them tomorrow, as we are intending to run the club's Solent Half Marathon course which is all road, except for the start and finish field.

Sorry for your loss Steve.

Good to see everyone getting some miles in this weekend.

You will get your fitness back LL.

Hope you feel better soon FF.

I did parkrun yesterday, 28 mins bang on. I was pushing and it was really hard. Weather has been absolutely glorious, it's like spring.

Well done Lesley for your 28 minutes parkrun. It's quite a few weeks since I've got anywhere near that time.

Thanks all, I'm much better than I was, just a phlegmy cough to contend with occasionally. It didn't stop me doing 13 miles this morning in 2 hours, I was pleased with that.
Enjoy your plan Steve and hope it works well for you.
Well done on your run this morning hillstrider and once again taking advantage of it by doing a fartlek session.
A terrific parkrun yesterday Lesley it's good you're getting out and putting in a good performance.

Nice parkrunning Lesley.

Well done FF glad you’re feeling better.
New Shoes HS are they a new model or just new pair of existing type.

I managed 6.89 miles today at a slow pace and feel like I’ve ran a marathon 🤣

Thanks LL, well done on your run and I'm sure you'll feel some benefit of running regularly soon even if it's not a marathon distance 😉

Well done on your race Pix pleased it went well.
I’m so far behind I’m not sure I’ll catch up but not going to worry.
