Can I join in? Had a grim end to 2022/start of 2023 - basically got ill on first day of Christmas holiday and didn’t get out of bed for more than 4hrs until NYD. Covid, flu and a lingering chest infection - deep joy! Anyway, still struggling to run ‘properly’ trying not to panic about Boston Marathon which is approaching far too fast!

I am sure I will recognise a few names here!

Welcome to the thread Cerid.

Welcome back Mrs B. Sorry to hear about your medical issues and hope that you are well on the way to full fitness again.

I decided to take a rest day today, to recover from yesterday's interval session. It's also raining, so another good reason not to run 😁
I was surprised to have reached 100k for the month yesterday.

You've been gone from the thread a long time Mrsb ! Don't overdo those miles now and stay healthy. Good to see you back.
I actually managed a continuous four minute running bit today; am speaking to my GP about the results of my angiogram stuff to clarify whether caution is needed even though my heart was overall ok like I've said here. There was some issue with my lungs picked up and which I don't thoroughly understand but could be post covid .
I am so far down on the leaderboard that my usual thousand is seriously under threat.🤣
Welcome cerid!

You are probably doing the right thing Steve, by continuing to be cautious until you have discussed with your GP the results of your angiogram. I wouldn't be too bothered about mileage targets if I were you.
I hope to set a good time at Saturdays parkrun, but it does depend on the condition of the course.

Welcome Cerid and welcome back Mrs B sorry to hear you’ve been poorly. Good luck with your training is that Boston UK or USA?
Well done Steve. I can’t believe how much I’ve deteriorated in a very short time.
Nice running HS and good luck with your parkrun.
