Hope your right foot soon recovers Steve. These things always seem to crop up at the worst possible times.
Very wise LL doing your track session at below your usual level. Probably a good idea to rest before Sunday's Half Marathon, so you run it on rested legs.
Did a recovery pace 10k this morning on roads, on very heavy legs.

Well done to all those crossing the line. Hope to join you there again in 2022 but just taking it steadily for now.

Well done lin50 nice one.
Good news Peter. How’s your plantar FF? Hope your foot is ok Steve. I’m trying to rest for a few days before my half. I don’t normally as can feel sluggish but I was tired after my 10 mile race.

Hi LL, thanks for asking. It's still niggling away and I've lost all enthusiasm and motivation for running again. The lbs have been adding up over the last couple of months and that's frustrating me too. I've still been eating as though I've been exercising and it's not helped my waste. I can't understand why the weight gain is only recent because it's been since February. Oh well a new year looms and I can hope for better times (if not in running).

Good to hear that you are taking things easy Peter, and hoping to cross the 1,000 miles next year.
Well done Lin50.
LL, I believe you are doing the right thing by resting before your half marathon.
FF, I'm sorry to hear that you have lost your mojo for running. I hope that when you have recovered from your injury, you will start the new year with renewed enthusiasm.
Today is a rest day for me.

Well completed lin50! Good luck for Sunday. Nice to see your name here again Peter, steady is the way to go for now! Good decision LL , if feeling sluggish is a concern then a gentle jog of no more than one mile will keep the legs awake but fgs avoid a pace run or anything over the minutes. Bummer FF, that fluctuation in mojo is understandable, it must be so frustrating after all this time. I know you prefer longer distances, maybe keeping the miles substantially lower for a couple of months would allow that pf to slowly adapt. Hope it improves soon. My bloody foot is no better really. I can stand and walk about the house ok but proper walking as I had to do whilst shopping this morning was excruciatingly painful. A few days not running should do the trick to get back out there! I'll just let it take its course.

It's a bit of a grab bag, this forum, in terms of health and injury! I alternate between being impressed and encouraged, and feeling a bit sad for those who are on the bench and suffering.
Stay strong, people. Where there's life, there's hope!
