Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Great stuff MMM. What jam will you have had?! I'm into plum right now but a big celebratory sandwich won't happen for a couple of months yet.

Foot was ok thanks LL. I did a cautious 5.5 and all seemed well.

Good news Steve. I felt a tweak yesterday after my long one but didn’t feel it today on my 2 mile round up.

I'm working my way down a jar of damson at the moment - made in 2011!!

I'm starting the blackberry harvest now - so I'll be making some of that in a couple of weeks when I've built up enough fruit. (They're being added to the box in the freezer at the moment.)
Hopefully you'll still have something nice left in the cupboard when you get there, Steve!

Well done LL. Glad it didn't twinge you this morning.

MMM, my mouth is watering and my taste buds are full of anticipation at the mention of blackberries. To me a pudding of blackberry & apple with custard is ideal, and so is black berry & apple crumble or pie. Then blackberry and apple jam is my most, most, favouritestest jam.

Well done LL and 3M.

Good that your foot was ok Steve during your cautious 5.5 miler.

LL good news that you didn't feel a tweak during your 2 mile round up.

Today is a rest day from running, but I've done a series of stretches etc.

I don’t do jam but blackberry season brings apple and blackberry crumble or blackberry syllabub in the gg house. I don’t have a sweet tooth but Mr gg does have.

Another 100+ mile month done and a year to date total of 1045. That is already 35m more than last year. Fingers crossed it’s going and continues to go well. Still factoring in a couple of months off for foot surgery at some point.

Fingers cross the niggles stay away and well done everyone on your achievements this month.

Blackberry time is almost over down here after am early August bounty. Still a few hanging on though and we've a few frozen containers of stewed beauties to enjoy. Made a few jars of plum jam yesterday; good crop of plums this year but the apple tree hasn't been at all good.
Glad your twinge didn't develop LL.
What a great year for you so far gg; difficult to decide/factor in surgery but hope it doesn't take too many miles off you.
5k to start September with a mid November 1,000 looking likely unless I up my game.

Well done gg for your 1045 miles so far this year, 35 more than the whole of last. I hope the niggles stay away!

A good start to September Steve with your 5k.

We ran 5.5 miles in the forest this morning comprising warm up, 5 x 3 minutes tempo with 2 minutes jog recoveries, warm down.
