Thanks for the explanation Steve about Huel.
Well done for your 10k on trails. I imagine that the ground has dried up now.

A rest day today for me.

Active Root is fabulous Steve45 I use it for long runs and gave some to my dad when he lost weight due to illness recently. It has all good stuff in it and all natural. Slight ginger taste which’s settles the stomach but not overly gingery if that makes sense.

Dragged myself out my legs were crying I didn’t want to go as I feel exhausted - early nights don’t suit me Opted for the woods and fells but so overgrown and exceptionally muddy so slow 3 miles made it up on the last 2.25 and felt great by the end. Just what I needed I think.

I like the name "Active Root" gg and from what you say it has a far better taste than Huel! Might we'll check that out. And...if it gives you oomph on your long runs that's a good enough endorsement!
Yeah, trail areas all nicely dry here hs.
You did well getting out when feeling the way you did gg. What's best though?! Grit and tenacity which you have in bucket loads or using such an occasion as a rest day in order to recharge? Always difficult to choose especially with a programme or race coming up. Glad you felt ok after the run. Take big care of yourself!
Just 3 for me today.

My mam has been using it on her runs and she’s doing so well. I’ve recommended it to many and all like it.

They often do a free sample or I have a code that gets you 20% discount (I believe I would get points which can be spent against future purchases) they do a 6 sachet pack for £7.99 I get 2 servings out of one sachet. I can get a link if you like.

I am feeling so tired but dragged myself out albeit late so a late start at work. I decided chilled would be fine but once started I thought I’d push mile 2 happy with M2 but run back uphill was a killer.

Well done GG getting out for a run when you weren't really feeling up to it. A good sign that you felt better as the run progressed. I see that you ran again this morning, pushing the pace.

Another 3 miles today for you Steve, getting closer to the 1000 miles.

This morning was an easy training session, 6.84 miles comprising warm up, an easy pace round the 5k course, warm down. 200k achieved this month.

Sad news about the death of Charlie Watts aged 80. A legend who held the Stones together. RIP 🙏

Some great running going on here.

Charlie was not only a great drummer but a true 'gent". So many of the singers/band members of my youth are passing now, it sure underlines how brief our time is.
A good 200k so far this month for you hs.
Thanks for the info gg. Hope that your tiredness disappears quickly.
Looking after grandkids is such endurance work LL! Thankfully...on that level (!) my great granddaughter lives a long way away!
At last, for the first time since last July I did 8.1 miles this morning, thanks to my wife chivvying me along for the first five. Then of course she trotted off to finish her dozen!

LL, young children are really hard work. Unfortunately I have no grandchildren, as my son and daughter haven't produced any. However, one of my running friends has five year old twins, and I do help out sometimes with visits to the swings etc.

Well done Steve increasing your mileage. Not long now until you get into double figures 🤞

A solo hilly road 10k this morning, which is the quickest I have run it. 1.03.54 an average pace of 10.16 minute miling. It felt fairly comfortable, so it seems that the marathon training is paying off 😁

A rest day today, but I've had a haircut, does that count as cross training 😁
