A much better day today, and I ran 6.65 miles in the forest with the Monday Group.

Just back from my 6 monthly check up with the Hygienist.

I've just ordered another pair of Asics 1000 V11 from Wiggle.

Looks like everyone had a good weekend.

I managed 11 miles on Saturday morning, with a parkrun after 6 miles and 2 miles home. Parkrun time was 28:36, didn't expect that time. Weather ha been lovely the last couple of days, finally spring weather. No work for me today but I did do a row and core session and spent the rest of the day in the garden - it was desperate for a tidy up.

I wish I didn't work Monday's so I could enjoy running in the forest like HS.

Glad you had a better run on Monday, sounds good with a group and enjoying the forest. Teeth ok for a while then--though you're getting that lost tooth fixed soon aren't you?
I've used Wiggle before and they offer good deals; I used Start Fitness for my recent new Saucony but usually in the past, Sports shoes.com. I note there though that shoes are creeping dangerously close towards the £175-£200 mark.

My experiment re my hip is going well even if only a mile but for two years or more my hip has been getting sore almost from the off.
What fabulous running Lesley and a zippy park run too. And a row again and core session and gardening... wow, you've really upped your training lately, great stuff .

Well done Lesley, a 28.36 minutes parkrun as part of an 11 miles run; very impressive 👏

A shame that you can't join us on Mondays for our social forest runs.

Thanks Steve, the Hygienist appointment went well, with a new Hygienist. A male this time, it's always been females in the past. He is ex army, so probably a medic.
I've got another appointment with the dentist on Thursday, when he will take an impression, and another soon after when he will fit the tooth.
I'm glad to hear that your experiment with your hip is going well.

My trainers will be delivered this afternoon. I only ordered them yesterday, so it's a very good service.

I haven't seen any details of your marathon MrsB, but I'm sure that you did very well.

Great parkrun sandwich Lesley.

Well done Steve but be careful transitioning from the authotics.

I hope you have no after effects from the booster hillstrider.

Shoes are getting dearer season by season but that's no different to anything else you want to buy nowadays.

9.28 miles (just for GG ;-) ) this morning. I'd normally say just over 9 miles but I'm feeling 'naughty' today.

Once uploaded I discovered I've reached Sydney.

Thanks FF, I hope so too. I didn't feel "quite right" for several days after the last booster.I think that could have been because I had the flu jab at the same time, and in the same arm.

Well done

9.28 miles.. so a little over 9and a quarter FF! Despite your non runs on wet days last week you've lost nothing! Like gg I couldn't be done with 9.28! It's the kind of thing my wife does and it does my head in😂.
Yeah, being careful re the orthotics experiment and it's still going well. But ..I do have to follow up on the lung issue picked up during my CT heart scan; my GP was going to ask for clarification but that was six weeks ago. My chest won't tolerate any exertion over 90 seconds when it becomes sore to the degree I have to walk. I'm asking for an X ray.

It'll be good to get the tooth fixed hs; hope the new trainers bounce well!
Come on MrsB, your splits show a frisky first few miles in Boston but how did you find it in that chilly weather? Well done on a fine run
