Apols to those on 100m/m thread or ready my blog.
My op has been cancelled. I rang to chase collecting the meds I need and they’ve now decided my issues with anaesthetic (mitigated) are too risky so want to do it at a main hospital. Fine but they knew this over a year ago and cancelling 4 days out is ridiculous. I’m not the happiest of gg’s at the mo.

Glad your back Lesley. Good luck Sunday hopefully they'll give you a hint. I had a friend who went for an ECG today and was told there and then the consultant wasn't worried. That is a pain GG I'd be pissed.

I seriously am Lesley I went to see the doctor in May 2021 we discussed it then. It’s like they didn’t take it in and after my review last week the anaesthetist has had a wobble. There has been a few choice words here too.

Some have put in their PBs, so I thought I'd do the same. I've done very few events as I don't run on Sundays, so these times span 25 years from 1985 to 2010! I've put my age for each.
5K - 23:26 (65); 5ml. - 40:28 (64); 10K - 40:37 (39); HM - 1:35:46 (49); MAR. - 3:40:16 (50). Now I'm about 3min./ml. slower than my earlier pace. I also did the Big Fetch Mile at Cardiff on my 73rd birthday and recorded 8:08, the only time I've 'raced' that distance.

Well done getting back into running Lesley.
That's a "right dogs breakfast" GG. I'm not surprised that you are hacked off☹️
I hope all goes well on Sunday Steve. I believe I have mentioned in an earlier post that I had an ECG during a routine NHS annual check up with a Nurse several years ago, and was told immediately afterwards that all was ok.
Those are all excellent PB's Evangel,
especially because you don't run on Sundays, which is the day the majority of races are held.
The usual Farmers Walk for me this morning, and hoping to improve on last week's parkrun tomorrow. I think I will have to wear my woolly hat, as I don't think my cap will "cut the mustard."

My two ECGs over the last year showed no abnormalities but the doctor good hear something abnormal which is why the TTE (Transthoracic Echocardiogram) is being done. I hoping that my issues are psychological or a normal deterioration of ability or plain lazyitis! Heck FF, to start running at the age you did and to be doing the times you do is fantastic.
Us oldies had...HAD ..good race times! I(excellent ones there Evangel) .I remember a quote.. you're only as good as your last race time. Well that leaves me well and truly at the bottom! What an absolute pain in the a** gg. After all this time too. I suppose it's better to be safe. My 5k this morning was awful!

Fingers crossed for tomorrow Steve 🤞 Sorry to hear that this mornings 5k was awful.
This mornings parkrun was much quicker than last week, and from the WAVA results table, I was 10th. It was gratifying to see so many runners with much quicker times than mine, having inferior WAVAS. Being elderly isn't all negative 😃
