I went to my local parkrun this morning, not as fast as I would have liked but my foot was fine. It's mostly trail with hills. Will see how it is tomorrow.

Good running folks.

scottdog - I'd like to try rother valley parkrun. Hillsborough is my local one. One flat lap sounds much better than 5 short hilly ones, not that it would help me get anywhere near your time!

Rother Valley is my favourite Parkrun by far. I’ve done Hillsboro a few times but I ain’t going whilst it’s 5 laps.

What a relief that your foot was fine Lesley.
Nice run there Turkhish, undulating trails are the best.
5.5 along mainly flat trails this morning. Yeah, scottdog, those stents worked so well for you, you've done some superb runs since you had them but I hope I'm not in line for them😂 I'm nowhere near at all where I was, I'm also hoping it's not an age thing. I always thought that having a sound aerobic base that one's VO2 would be less likely to deteriorate so I'm hoping that current poor pace etc is temporary and "just one of those things" !

That's a very good 5k time Scottdog, and when fully fit will surely be a minute or more quicker.

Glad you liked the picture Turkhish, a shame though that the sun rather spoilt it. A good run by you this morning on an undulating trail. My sort of run.

Good news that your foot was ok Lesley!

My Vo2 max at present is 45 Steve. I've no idea what it was when I was younger. It says that I have a fitness age of 20. If only I could run as fast as a 20 year old.

Today is the Southampton 10k, half and full marathon. I didn't enter this year, but was first MV70 in 2017. My legs were very heavy this morning, after Thursday's and yesterday's track sessions. I ran a very easy pace 10k on roads with a running buddy.

20 miles this morning picking up the pace a little after 10 miles and finishing off with 2 faster miles. Very pleased with the run after having had 12 days holiday.
