I think I'm being psychologically affected by my brother's recent episode and my HR just wouldn't behave this morning! Did four miles though including a hill (!) and despite the easterly wind I enjoyed my outing . Tut to your foot Lesley. Rest again? Hope the track session went well hs.

Sorry to hear about your sore foot Lesley, I hope it soon clears up.I don't have any more appointments with the nurse, but she said it could take a while to clear up. I've got to continue to apply Inadine dressings which will help the healing process.
Glad you enjoyed your 4 mile run including a hill this morning Steve, and the fact that you enjoyed it is encouraging.
The session on the grass track with the Club last night went really well. We started with a few warm up drills, and 3 laps jogging round, and then 5 x 3 minutes hard, with 90 seconds walk recoveries. A few photos were taken, but not very good as the sun was low in the sky. I'll try and post one of me with my running buddy Sarah. We ran side by side the whole time, pushing each other. I'm sorry to admit that we were lapped on each of the 5 efforts, but they were 30 to 40 years younger than me, so that's how it should be.

Might have been a bit of stress related worry Steve. I’m sure you’re as fit as you possibly could be.
I opted for two wheels today picked the worst day of the week and it was quite windy.

Thanks all. It's just annoying. I was on the rower and did a walk this morning it was fine. So no idea what's going on. Will see how I feel tomorrow and might try a run or might not, not sure.
Sounds like a good session HS.
That will stress you out Steve, hope all is ok with you.
Have a good weekend everyone.

Make it a planned short run Lesley!
It must be psychological, I'm getting chest discomfort now! Bloody hypochondriac. Still, got GP and ECG with blood tests next week but I know that those in themselves aren't going to show up much, except maybe cholesterol. Should have been regularly checked at my age apparently but haven't for years. Trouble is that even if it is too high and there are clogged arteries nothing can be done to actually unclog them ( except extremely, having stents.). 6.5 miles on what was a chilly morning again, more runners out this weekend than lately.

Sorry to hear that you are still having medical problems Steve. Hope you find out more after your appointment with the Doctor. Well done though for continuing with your running and doing 6.5 miles this morning.
I did another track session this morning, but it was on the 800 metre track in the forest. It was 5 x 800 metres with 90 seconds recoveries. Each rep was quicker than the one before. The first was 5.22 minutes, and the 5th 4.16 minutes which is an average of 8.32 minute miling, so pleased with that.
