Looks like I'm holding on to top 30 place. I thought I might find keeping upto 1000 miles quite hard, but I'm going OK at the moment.

Did 2 road runs this week, so got out on a muddy trail this morning. Tricky, but good fun.

Included seeing someone struggling on a mountain bike, which ended in a slow motion fall into the mud. Unharmed and he was with a friend, but I said I hoped he liked the soft landing :)

It was grim. He took before, during and after photos. You can clearly see that the tooth behind the one I had fixed is cracking too :-(.

I must admit, it feels very strange to be in the top 10 - 9th as at yesterday. It's the 1st time that's happened to this plodder.

Today has been a rest day. Tomorrow I shall be out for 4 or 4.5 mls easy paced run.

Peter, I think the leaderboard looks a bit more realistic now but glad some who've sensibly raised their target are still here. Hopefully some of the 1,000 milers not yet on the thread will join when they don't feel they are trying to join in with bigger players. There were two who left last year because they didn't feel it was the right place for them. I know it's only "fun" and we're all running but a target is a target.

Back to sub zero and rain this morning--had to cut my run short because of the covid test appointment at the house which was earlier than usual! But did weights as well so happy with today's effort.
My heart rate is still not playing fair and I just hope it's not the final consequence of being old. I need to re do my max HR which I'll do when the weather gets a bit warmer and then I can evaluate on-going efforts.

It was thick fog this morning which is only just clearing. I ran the 46th successive not a parkrun on roads with my running buddy and it was the quickest for quite some time. 26.52 a WAVA of 70.49%, so very pleased with that.

Steve our heart rates should inevitably get lower as we get older. My average for this morning's 5k was 141 and max 153. Vo2Max 48.
