Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Hello Lorraine.
My HR has always been higher than most but I do have a low resting hr so don't worry about it too much. Well done hillstrider on your 70+ wava that's my goal my best is mid 65's.

Thank Looby loo. For some strange reason, my heart rates are usually lower in hard workouts, than in recovery runs.

Very good, hillstrider. I'm still lurking in the low 60s of WAVA.

Bloody heart rate! Mine has become far less efficient over the last two or three years; without going into detail re speed what were previously quite easy/steady aerobic runs (say level 2-zone 2) are now feeling like tempo runs. My resting HR has remained the same, not particularly low but consistent over forty years at around 58-60 bpm. I know there could be a few reasons aside from age and I'll be exploring and looking at it over the weeks ahead although I just may have to put up with my new found slower slowness!

HS, well done on your excellent 5K pace, and WAVA score. I have only once gone over 70%, and that was just before my 65th birthday on a flat 5K at Burnham-on-Sea. Since then my pace has been retarded by consequences of injuries. One day, I may get there again - when I'm 85 perhaps!

MMM, I expect your WAVA will increase as you get older - say another 10 years!

well done all,

I got jabbed today as CEV, so have a sore arm now.

VPR 47/47 and tail walking pacing duties for the club (virtually) 53:53, then 10.5m on the EB later

Take care

Hello Lorraine.

10 miles this afternoon. It was a hard slog, slushy streets, almost knee deep snow in the forest, lots of mud and standing water. I did enjoy it and the forest was beautiful.

Ooh snow! We have "flurries" forecast. Don't think it's going to stick around though. I'd rather run on snow than in rain at this time of year!

Hope you took your breadcrumbs LesleyC! 😉
Significant overnight fall of fresh snow here too.
At least it's proper snow now rather than the icy stuff we had last week.
