Well done FR.

Steve, it's all you retired buggers that can get out anytime you want ;-) However, mickey taking aside, well done to everyone that can get out, stay sane and stay fit by running for enjoyment.

An unexpected 3.8 mile recovery run this morning. Unexpected because I thought I'd be laying slabs but rain has stopped play today so I've given myself a day of rest before going back to work tomorrow afternoon.

I had a fairly wet time for my 7.5 mls. this morning, but the rain stopped for the last 3 miles, so I was dry by the time I got home!

Yes indeed FR😂..but I have stayed with pre retired routines although maybe getting out more at around 6.45 am these days instead of pre 6am.
Endurance?! If only! I think you're probably right though hillstrider but because of my leg I seldom go into double figure miles. Unusually I've done thirty miles this week for only the fourth time in two years! However, during the 1980s my miles were only 33-35 a week and I was knocking out half marathons between 1.21 and 1.28 regularly.

Well done Steve, getting into double figures again. As your weekly mileage was quite low back in the eighties, when the trend was 40+ mpw, did you do a lot of speed work in lieu of that? I was with Team Solent in those days, and trained twice a week on the track. All my PB's were in my forties.

My running club is asking us to run a virtual 10k, so I sussed out a possible route during this morning's forest run. I ran 8.3 miles at recovery pace.

I've cut back my mileage a little today but still gained 5 miles on Mark over the week. It would have been 10 but he snuck out and did 5 and a bit himself this morning. I'm sure over the next few weeks we'll be leap frogging each other in the table.

When will you start marathon training Mark? Is York still going ahead?

I may have to consider a marathon training plan after my Project joker plan just for something to keep me on track with my running.

a nice hard 5k TT in 23:00, very happy as was not really up for it, so surprised myself, also happy with the pacing... 7:25, 7:23, 7:21. funny that can run better when not feeling it... ie no expectation.... so quite happy with that.

Take care
