Sounds like it might be worth a read. Sorry I can’t comment on everything. I’m currently in McDonald’s using WiFi before heading to the airport. After 10 days in Florida I’ve managed to keep on the line so still hope for me to complete. Well done everyone, take care of niggly calves and FF it wouldn’t surprise me if you did the whole 22 in one go if the mood took you 😃 |

@Looby Loo Well done everyone, take care of niggly calves and FF it wouldn’t surprise me if you did the whole 22 in one go if the mood took you 😃 I really wish I could but the 2x3 miles this morning has done my legs in 😂 and to think I used to knock out 2 or 3 10+ mile runs a week without issues 🤣🤣 |

It's not essentially a book about running but about a rebellious youth in borstal who is a good runner. Written by Alan Sillitoe in 1959 and adapted for a film in 1962. You've done brilliantly keeping on target since you've been away LL. I guess FF that you can't expect to jump back into previous types of effort when you've reduced how frequently you run. However (!) just doing 2x3 miles is good going. I'm sure you'll readjust things and get to feeling comfortable again. I only went out and did a single mile because of morning commitments eating into time. Nice dry calm conditions too. |

Thanks for the info about not being able to edit a post. Assumed it was my poor IT skills. Steve: agree about it being difficult to run to parkrun, the the run and run home meaning a bit of a stop start morning. On what I call my 'mother in law Saturdays' the above is necessity not choice. LL: Good effort whilst on holiday, if I'm out of my routine running can be tricky, so appreciate your perhaps sense of relief that your still on track. 5 miles last night. Enjoyed it but felt like I needed some oil in my joints. Correct total is below. I double counted one of my runs last week. Ytd: 992.8 |

Well done LL, for keeping up your running in Florida. Well done FF for yesterday's 2 x 3 miles. That is a tough session, so I'm not surprised that your legs were done in. As we age, none of us can do what we used to do. I was a prolific racer in the past, entering races more or less every week. I've only run one this year, and it was a 10k. I'm quite happy parkrunning most Saturdays. Well done Steve for squeezing a mile into a busy schedule. This morning was the usual Tuesday Farmers Walk, with very heavy bags. I managed to avoid putting them down, but was walking slower and slower. I've ordered a new pair of trainers. They are the usual Asics 1000, but the upgrade has made some changes. I'm hoping that they will be positive, as some upgrades are not. |

Great running everyone. Safe travels home GG (you maybe are home now). Same to you LL. A mile is better than nothing Steve. I did parkrun on Saturday, a St Andrews Day special with tartan and lots of treats. Irn Bru was delicious after pushing hard. It was also 12 degrees. 100th will be this Saturday 😁. Back to normal winter weather this morning, -2 and frosty for my hill reps. Very still too. Hills seem easier in the dark with a head torch, you can't see the top 😂. |

Thanks FF, my friend has waited patiently for over a month so we can run our 100th run on the same day.

Well done Lesley for Saturday's parkrun, and this mornings hill reps in minus 2 degrees conditions. Good luck with your 100th this Saturday.
