Cooler days have returned! Much easier run--4 miles--this morning. Noted that my Hokas are showing serious signs of wear on the outer sole and won't last much longer, have only run 280 miles in them on mixed terrain. I like the "ride" they give but when I compare them with 800-1,000 miles I get from Saucony they're not the best deal.

A rest day today and I managed to walk back from the supermarket, approximately .5 mile, carrying 4 heavy shopping bags, 2 in each hand. I'm classing that as cross training 😁

Still too warm here but another 8.2 miles in the bag. More than ready for my shower now!

HS, if that had been me, I think it would have been very cross training!
No running yesterday, but today I did 3.50 miles at a very brisk pace - my quickest on this route, which was very satisfying.

Today I took advantage of a much easier temperature for running, and I found myself getting progressively faster with my first mile in 10:40, and my final mile in 8:41. (The gradient helped the progression, but that's my best since lockdown started!) I've encouraged myself that there's still some life left in the old legs!

I see that there are five 60+ year olds in the top ten of the leaderboard!

Much cooler today and the rain which had falling during the night stopped just before I set off for my run.
Well done Evangel, good to see that you are getting quicker since the lockdown.
I did the virtual 5k this morning on roads, as I didn't fancy running it in the forest. It was my second fastest this year in 26.28, a WAVA of 70.4% and VO2 max 48.
Steve, that's quite impressive and perhaps indicates that as we get older and slower, we don't lose much of our endurance, but continue to put in the miles.
