Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Right, I have GFA for London Marathon next year.

I am also 7min 48secs inside the qualification time for my age and gender for Boston Marathon, which means I can apply 2 weeks from today. Please cross everything for me. We used to have a flat on Boylston Street- right near where the second bomb went off and I have dreamed of running this marathon since I started running. Sadly, when I lived in Boston I wasn't a runner!

Wow Mrs B, hope you get in, that’s a tough but great marathon to run, wish I could afford to do it again.

Also slightly mad as it means I will run Boston on Monday and London the next Sunday! Just hope 7 minutes is enough - they tightened the times this year for Boston - last year I'd have been 12mins 48secs inside the cut off.

That's great news MrsB, GFA for London and fingers crossed for Boston. I can visualise you rapidly climbing up the League Table!

I had my back tooth that had caused my abscess, extracted this morning. I have to avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours, so will reluctantly have another rest day tomorrow.

Having run both I would have preferred London first...

😁
Despite my face and arm looking a bit gruesome, there's nothing wrong with my legs! So I used the unused energy from Thursday to achieve a new parkrun PB.
