Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Congratulations Marky on your parkrun PB!

Only one way to describe today's run as "Looking for Sarah." We had agreed to meet up for a run and some how missed each other. We ended up running around in circles and never did make contact.

Well done MMM!

I did California Country parkrun, not a PB, but not a bad run! I started too near the back, not realising how narrow the path was - especially through the woods where overtaking was impossible. Nice parkrun - made myself talk to people afterwards (I was there on my own). Was 33rd overall, 3rd lady and 1st in my age category.

continued running successes Mrsb! Not surprised.
After my 5k this morning I spent an hour or two hacking branches and using shears in the nearby woods so there's a decent start at least to the pathway through it!

Well done MrsB getting 1st place in your age group, and also for reaching 2nd place in the league table. You are hot on my heels now!

Good to see that you have regained your black heart PeterF.

That's impressive Steve, hacking your way through the nearby woods after a 5k.

Ran a very enjoyable 8 miles this morning round the Lepe Loop with other runners from the club that are doing the New Forest Marathon and Half Marathon next Sunday. It was a challenging course, about 95% off road, and mainly along narrow, winding pathways through fields. Lots of roots, and one of our runners had a nasty fall, cutting her left knee and bruising her shoulder. That was on one of the few gravel paths.

Had a 15 mile training run planned for today, but we popped along to one of Phoenix Running's events. The laps meant that it was either half marathon distance or half marathon plus a lap (16.7 miles). It is a long time since I have sustained 8.30min/mile pace for that length of time and I am a wee bit knackered now! I even managed a sub 8 min/mile mile at one point as I tried to catch up with someone between 12 and 13 miles! We were lucky with the weather and there was lots of shade.

Steve - I keep meaning to take my secateurs with me when I run around here - some of the paths are very overgrown.

I'm starting the new month with a rest day. It is a day of rest, after all!

Well done MrsB. Sounds like a productive couple of days!

Very public spirited, Steve. I can imagine falling over with them a bit too easily at the moment...with unpleasant consequences!

What a pace Mrsb! If you secateurs as well as you run then the paths will be clear in a pb time!
I had left one sizeable branch during my efforts yesterday and which was quite a dangerous one at that--so I jogged with a saw there this morning and did a bit more cutting. Ha..something of an excuse so that I didn't worry about my energyless poor pace today!
Enjoy the Bristol night life on those runs Dav_K!
