Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Well done MrsB, that's a cracking pace!

Dave_K, take care running at night in Bristol. Hope you've got a head torch?

Steve, a bid dodgy jogging with a saw!

Ran a relaxing 7.5 miles in the forest this morning. Conditions were perfect, sunny with a cooling breeze.

I see that 12Bar David has disappeared from the League Table.

I did once take a machete to part of one of our local footpaths which had become very overgrown. I did not however attempt to run with it!
5k recovery this evening along usual loop which had transformed into a steeple chase course due to path flooding.

!!! The saw was a tennon saw and in my back pack hillstrider! Same the day before with shears in my backpack. Even though the river trail I run on a lot is supposed to be managed by the local Parks Dept it is seldom looked after in respect of overgrowing brambles and nettles so I tend to do a bike ride and trim those nasties back when they become too much of a nuisance.

Can't bear a steeplechase course Peter! Won't be THAT long before headtorches come out--in the mornings for me!

Well done Pedros! It's still 100 more than a lot of people, and you're not even at the bottom of the league table in here!

Well done Pedroscalls.

I have a 10k run scheduled for this Sunday so am looking around for a race if possible. I am back to school on Thursday having achieved very little that I had planned to do at the beginning of the break. I'd love to drop down to part time, but the school are not keen, and they tend to offer you 2 half days off rather than 1 whole day - which is not much use!

Well done Pedroscalls, 100 miles is 100 miles!

On the subject of cutting back hedgerows, overgrown footpaths etc. I'm not sure about the legalities of this, but I remember about 3 years ago, one of our lady club runners saying that her husband was warned against doing this.

Did an interval session this morning.

I'd work on the Good Neighbour principle, making life better for others. As long as I don't take the clipping home, I'm not even stealing!
