Really miserable 10 miles today. Started out wet, got wetter and wetter. The final few miles into a frigid head wind were particularly unpleasant!

Well done Steve. Stopped my last streak on day 49, feels like I have unfinished business.
Good to hear you're recovering Nickid.
5.5 at a solid pace this evening. Aiming to hit break even by the end of the month.

13.1 more done today - all Brass Monkeyed out! Happy with time too - was obviously perfectly trained (unfortunately for a 10k! ;-))
Nicely ahead for the week now, too.
Do I rest a few days, or just go slow(er)? Decision decisions.....

Good to catch up with people's progress, and see mileage building, run streaks continuing people on the injury comeback trail.
I'm up to 58 miles now. I had a good speed session on Tuesday and then easy runs on Thursday and Saturday with me running the Brass Monkey Half today.
Today couldn't have gone better. I ran with Kelly (also a poster on this thread now). We were unenthusiastic before the start, so had decided to start at a decent pace and just see how we felt. We somehow managed to keep around the 10 minute mile pace and both finished with PB's in 2:12:57.

Ebb, well done on your great PB in your HM today.
MrsB, you really showed greatdetermination & tenacity in keeping going for 10 miles, when conditions were getting progressively worse. But as runners, we do all we can to keep going; we're not quitters, just crazy!

Something afoot here when I am ahead of so many folks..may as well enjoy it because I 'm pretty certain who will be passing me before to long! Struggling but getting there Peter--but you northern runners have had a lot of weather to contend with compared with us in the south; 10c this morning and no wind either. Superb runs Ebb and MMM, what I notice a lot is that not enough proper attention is given to proper recovery so be wise MMM! Think I already mentioned on the other thread RedA that you might check other reasons for your knee niggle. Ten damp chilling miles means you're made of stern stuff Mrsb.
