We've all gone off too fast Linds, and 5k is a long way to hang on. But you made it and can have another go. I was definitely in the same boat as you last night, albeit over a shorter distance.
Firstly, that's a very twisty course so you're inevitably going to lose some pace on some of those tight bends. Secondly, I think it's a while since you've raced? So nerves/lack of pacing practice etc etc will have played a big part. The next one will be better - but relax about it! xx
