Set off too fast and felt awful up the first hill and had to walk. Walked a lot in the last mile too, including right before the finish. Disappointed with self although time isn't that bad. Had hoped to run it all.

We've all gone off too fast Linds, and 5k is a long way to hang on. But you made it and can have another go. I was definitely in the same boat as you last night, albeit over a shorter distance.

Firstly, that's a very twisty course so you're inevitably going to lose some pace on some of those tight bends. Secondly, I think it's a while since you've raced? So nerves/lack of pacing practice etc etc will have played a big part. The next one will be better - but relax about it! xx
