CB. I'm struggling to understand exactly how I did this. Having forgot my heart rate monitor ( dont ask) I have no idea of stats but must have run at 85% given how sore I am now.

That said I probably shouldnt be that surprised given the training over the last four weeks ( thanks to my physio). I was actually on track for a sub 55 at 8k but the hill at the end took everything that I had left.

i should ad that I am extremely happy

GAZGIB Was really suprised with how good I felt and actually managed to push it a bit from 3-8k. Legs were heavy and injury ached a bit, but very pleased overall.

Gobi A sub 37 attempt 3 days before my first track race and just over a week before Boddington. In theory I should be in shape all I need to do is start well pace well and stay strong from 7K. hope to improve on my best finish postion of 36th.

UPDATE*********************
Unofficial time at this point but a 27 second PB. My racing buddy from the office is injured so I attempted to follow 2 guys I know from Reading Roadrunners. WOW they went off fast 3:31 for the first K
After this I calmed down hit 5K in 18:31 and 8K in 29:35(a PB in itself) In the last 2K I caught both the chaps from Reading and was encouraged with my 3:26 last K I was strong to the end but I was done in. Flat course on a calm day and I might find another 15 seconds.
Full splits is in my training log.

I was 14th Senior male in the 3 race series

Jonny First run for 2 weeks with very little training over the past 2 months. Decided to take this as a training run to get myself back into running & hopefully start enjoying it again. Last minute decision to run due to lower back pain. Glad I ran & even though it was a shocking performance my back feels strangely better in the afternmath.

Konaboy Weather cooler - felt good. However Garmin on blink & with no watch had no idea of the time - Felt I could of got in under 45mins with a watch. Although a bit congested at start & loads of Chavs running for free & on bikes, this was the most enjoyable run of the three. Good to see Gobi, Vomit, TMW & Em71 for post race chat.

topcorner Paced Char again. She didn't get her number until two days before and she hadn't trained either.

She still manged another PB. Just over the hour...

Um Bongo A new PB. Felt under par to start but just went out with hope of around 50mins. First mile and half took easy and then legs felt strong and just kept going. Had to slow myself down at times. Finished strong. One happy camper
