clairster last run before moving, hoping for a lovely day out :) and i had a lovely day out. it was tops! struggled abit around 21 miles, and found the 1st downhill hard. but flew the last couple of miles. VERY happy

Dochart Point to point race along traffic free trails. Race HQ is Cromford RC with parking, changing etc and buses to take you to the start and a van to return your kit to the start. HM race runs at the same time so make sure you're on the right bus! The route is very picturesque but quite exposed in places. It gently undulates until descending in the last four miles, which were painful! 7 water stations along the way and well marshalled where required. The runners strung out very quickly following the start and I ran this mostly in my own company, sometimes with no other runners in sight. My goal was to get round and to come in under four hours was a bonus. I tired in the final stages and was very relieved to cross the finish. 86/182

mellow yellow Well organised race through beautiful countryside. Didn't do as well as I had hoped. Was a mental battle to keep going. But I did it. I completed my first marathon!
