About this parkrun

2 Lap parkrun around a newly provisioned Country Park which is Flat & Fast on a mixture of Clay & Tarmac paths - without a doubt road shoes.
wshippin 27th Dec 2018

The course runs around a country park set between the new houses of Great Denham and the River Great Ouse. 50/50 perfect tarmac / compacted surface it is flat and fast. It’s so nice they make you do two laps.
Nightjar 30th Dec 2018

Fast flat. Good tarmac or hard trail surface. Plenty of parking a short walk away. A little tight for space at the start but soon runners spread out.
DingDocMerrily 12th Jan 2019

2 lap flat parkrun on tarmac or hardpack trail.
Park and ride car park is 3/4 mile walk through the estate - good for warm-up cool-down.
Rosehip 12th Jan 2019

Very fast course when the wind is light. Lovely tarmac first half and compacted gravel second half. A quick time is very possible, slight drag to the finish of each lap which you may notice.
Mr J 22nd Jan 2019

Lovely and flat... and it passes our front door TWICE. It has an ace core team too, which includes NightJar, SilverShadow, Binks, Arbster, MrsArbster (I don't know her Fetch handle), Essjay and me (among others).
Wine Legs 28th May 2019

Super flat course. Used to have a mini hill but now it's a cheeky downhill since they changed the run direction. 2 laps on paths so road shoes perfect. Parking and cafe are both a bit of a walk.
28th May 2019

Good pb potential on 2 lap course. Park in the park and ride or at Kempston and walk over. Will become more scenic as the new country park develops. No cafe on site yet but one is planned.
Plodder Pete 28th May 2019

Quickest PR locally
Daz Man 12th Jul 2019

Tarmac and compact sandstone paths slightly under 2 clockwise laps. It’s flat and fast.
Festive Flier 13th Jul 2019

2 flat laps on good solid surface around a very pleasant parkland.
XB 24th Aug 2019

Enjoyed this 2 large lapper. Cold and windy day, especially on the long back stretch. Super volunteers. Wot no Fetch or KatieB?
Bobbyboy 27th Dec 2019

Flat and fast, parking next to venue now possible, adjacent cafe now open (Apr 2022)
BrianJ 30th Apr 2022

Ideal course for speed if the wind stays away. Two laps. First half tarmac, second half compacted grit. Nice to get back on the tarmac to start second lap! Two tight turns, but an ideal course for going like the clappers.
fetcheveryone 7th Sep 2022

Fast, Flat, Good Running Surface, 2 laps. PB Potential.
crjeanes 1st Oct 2022

2 laps. Fast and flat. Free parking. Nice cafe at start and finish. Tarmac and compact trail
runningmumof3boys 4th Feb 2023

Narrow start, a bit lethal with buggies. In the middle of nowhere. Scenic, flat & very fast - one of the most competitive parkruns Ive ever been to. Good to have toilets on the cafe open pre race.
Foxy 30th Sep 2023

Has anyone mentioned the cafe!
Daddy long legs 10th Nov 2023

Very fast course. Two laps on a mix of loose chipping cycle path and tarmac surface. One quite sharp corner but almost completely flat
Krispy 6th May 2024

UPDATE Definitely a fast course can be a bit windy

parking no longer a nightmare new car park and cafe.
