Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

_andy Tarmac it may be, but it's very hilly. Went out pretty hard (the downhill helped), promptly slipped down the field (as expected) from 9th to 15th (higher than expected though). Picked up a few places on the downhill start of lap 2 and then lost a few more again. Ended up in a battle with Graham from Pitreavie on lap 3, but felt pretty comfortable with the pace and surged a bit just before the hairpin - he came back just after but I sat on his shoulder until lighting the afterburners nearer the line. Pretty pleased with the result - 14th place and 4th MV (not counting the first and second guys)

clairevmc 1st female and a 23 sec pb - I'm so so pleased. Won the race in 23.10 in 2009 then last year was pregnant so delighted to be able to return with a faster time. Superbly organised race by Carnegie Harriers - smashing buffet afterwards, free raffle and lots and lots of friendly people. Very fast course, despite the hills - think you get quite a momentum build-up on the downhills to help on the uphills although there's no denying it's hilly!

Dvorak An enjoyable if testing outing and quite the Fetchfest. Not to mention cakefest. Way down on my record WAVA of last year, but again, better than feared. Legs still working after Melrose. Paced it not bad and neg split around 20s. (Watch time.)
