Dvorak Oops. Was a lazy lieabed and arrived to see a line of runners in the distance. After around three minutes wondered what I was doing as it was hard going in the icy snow. Apprehended some suspicious looking characters ;-) then kicked on. Tried to catch someone the last 300 but everytime I sped up, so did he. A creditable time in the conditions. Felt the boak and Katypie joined the shoe preservation society after giving me a hug :-O Still, I was trumped by dogwoman who did hurl mightily at the finish. Great fun and lovely to see Fetchies from home and away. Enjoyed the run so much that I then headed over the Almond and cantered around Dalmeny estate and wandered along the beach for another while. (Official time - a bit different.)

Fat Boy A most enjoyable run in the snow. Placed 3rd in my slowest parkrun to date but still a good steady effort given the conditions. Nice to meet up with many other Fetchies.

IanS Good turnout for a snowy morning. Very slippy underfoot so took it easy-ish. Excellent Fetch turnout :-)

About this parkrun

Flat and fast, out and back course with a loop at the far end. Along the sea-front, can be windy and normally a head wind on the way back. Definitely PB potential if not windy.
K5 Gus 8th Jan 2019

Pancake flat out and back run, but feels a bit relentless as almost inevitably wind in one of the directions. Easy parking, road shoes and remember the 9:30 start if you don't live in Scotland!

Out and back course like a lollipop, flat, busy, but thins out quickly. Can be windy on the way back.
Ally-C 23rd Mar 2019

Flat and fast, hope for a lack of wind (unlikely)
Mr J 20th Apr 2019

Run down the handle of the frying pan, round the pan, and back up the handle. Pancake flat ;-) Nice views of the sea, and good parking nearby.

If you get a day with no wind, then hello PB! Otherwise, be prepared to struggle.
Deinonychus 28th May 2019

Very busy, very flat. Lovely views when there's good visibility, which can be touch and go!
sparklecloud 11th Feb 2020

Decent parkrun. Looks like a lollipop.
RunningRonnie 16th Feb 2020

undulating
Janicerun 7th Mar 2020

Can be quite busy. Starts at Sliverknowes and runs along the promenade beside the Forth. Out and back. Very flat but exposed so can be windy. On a calm day you’ll not get a faster course Several cafe options but don't go to the Boardwalk Beach Club.
