Alf Tupper Very pleased with time as my right leg fell off after 8K. Organisation was excellent. I think the course changes from last year worked really well too. Definately one of my favourite races.

Fat Man Runs This was the first race I ever did last year and my aim was to do much better and get a pb.

Now with a lot more experience I can see how tough this course is and how it just isn't made for pb's. It's pretty hilly with lots of very sharp turns and to top it off very slippery underfoot.

Consequently although I was over a minute from my current personal best I was happy with the result - particularly whilst I'm still recovering from falling off my bike.

The organisation was spot on again and this is definitely a cracking large event for the East Midlands - will be back next year.

LP An enjoyable race but it was busier than I expected and the field didn't seem to thin out until about 5k so I definately ran a faster 2nd half.

SJS Good, even paced run - PB.

Need to start nearer the front next time, as spent all the race passing people.

Vickyy Really chuffed with my time - worked hard throughout. Ran the first three miles much faster than I have in training. Then met and ran with Jo from Heanor RC - she helped me through and I managed to pretty much maintain my pace throughout - didnt look at my watch once - just concentrated on maintaining my pace. Really chuffed!!!
