Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

Big Jim Entered at the last minute on a whim. Good decision. Fantastic course, great weather and a PB by almost 3 minutes. Not too sure about having mile markers every half mile though, takes some getting used to. This race was to make my mind up as to whether or not I would attempt London and it has convinced me to give it a go.

Boycie Don't expect anything special here... Although flat, have not been able to do many long runs. That said I seem to be in a similar shape to last year, so possible that I could manage around 1:30... We shall see... UPDATE: Started as if I was in 87 minute form - sadly I wasn't and paid the price between miles 9 - 12. Still 92:40 is not bad considering I have not done more than 11 miles since my injury... Will be building up from here

Chockaholic Really pleased with pb would've gone quicker but the wheels came off between miles 10 & 12 struggled to get up the gradual climb at this point. Lovely day possibly a touch too warm but can't complain!

Greenman My hamstring was playing up virtually from the start, managed to get round but much slower than I'd hoped. It tightened up a lot afterwards, looks like I'll have to rest it until London now, maybe try some X-trainer sessions but that will be about it.

Rich963 Oh well, I knew it was going to be tough after the illness lay off and with it being the first warm weather race of the year. Pace slowly dropped away, although I still managed a 6.50 last mile (albeit at 10k-type HR). Just hope I feel better for the marathon. 127th out of 610 finishers.

ThorntonRunner good race - pleased with second fastest time, and also with the profile of the race: first 10 miles eased from 6:36 to 6:51 splits. Struggled a bit in mile 11 and 12 at just under 7 minute mile pace, before putting in a 6:29 13th mile. Three minutes faster than last year, so something to build on for the rest of the year.
