hi all, after some advice - am looking for a "smart" turbo. Not for racing etc but something that "follows" a route virtually. I am not sure if Zwift is like that? Or is there similar out there?
Thanks in advance. FMail me if dont want to mess thread up.

OC - most smart trainers come with their own platform as well as allowing you to Zwift. E.g. Tacx have virtual rides on their own app, either with video or profile. You can also upload routes to virtually ride. Rouvy is an app that you can ride virtually through a video of real life routes, like you're there rather than CGI type animation of Zwift.

I did a race that my Tri club had entered last night and I placed 19/119 in Cat C. After the race, Zwift Power has changed my race category to ‘Almost B’, so I’ll probably need to move up soon, but at the moment it's still calling me Cat C. I think after one more race I'll need to move up as one of the three events it's currently saying is my 3rd best effort wasn't actually a race, but a Tour de Zwift group ride where although I did ride hard it's bringing my average down. The race was on the Richmond Libby Hill After Party circuit with the hill at the end, and I did find that very tough. Before the uphill there are two downhills where I got in the tuck position and saved some energy by not pedalling there, but even so I found the uphill tough and people got away from me up to the finish line.

Just following up, I had a closer look and my best three 95% results are 3.26, 3.13, 3.03 for an average of 3.13. If I do another race at 3.13 and the 3.03 drops off, my average will then be 3.22 so my category will change after the next race if I do reasonably well. I'm nowhere close to bothering the podium though, as the podium finished 30-60-secs up the road but probably I lost most of that on the final climb as I was in the lead group at the foot of the climb.

It never ceases to amaze me how many riders have good power for around 5 mins or 30 seconds in the lower categories. I often look at other results and am thankful people can't hold me wheel on a 20 min climb.
I have been beaten by B cats who can hang on but go like stink in a sprint

I did the final scratch race of the ZRL on Tuesday night, Richmond pan flats for five laps and then finishing up Libby Hill, what a great race route that is. I took some points on the second sprint but otherwise held the front group to the final KOM sprint. There were about 45 in the final group and I suppose I was disappointed to finish 20th from that group. Standard is pretty high and I got caught napping a little, I averaged 507 watts for the final 70 seconds up that hill and I think 600+ was needed.
