About to join the ZZRC sub 2.0 at 18:30 to enter the comp if anyone wants to join.

Zwift had a bit of nightmare today. Nearly 700 people were signed up to the sub 2.0 ride, so when I joined it put my under the pier in the water. At the start riders were everywhere going in all directions. None of the group messages were coming through and then my ride wouldn't save

Mine wouldn't save either - it used to be a Zwift problem ages ago that I thought was fixed, but 700 riders scuppered that.
It's amazing what a prize of a posh turbo will bring out.
I saw the ride leader briefly in the first minute but not after - a ride sweeper popped up alongside towards the end. Sub-2 seemed a random ride name given the speeds of folk heading off into the distance:)

I never saw the ride leader and despite being significantly over 2.0 for long periods I couldn't even get close to the main pack who were over a minute ahead by the end. Quite enjoyed riding in a pack with a few others who had been left behind, but couldn't communicate with them as the message system appeared to be down.

It turns out the free 7 day trial is actually only a 25km trial! So my 30 min ride today ended after 25 mins and I'd used up all my distance.
They don't start counting the paid days until 7 is up but I still feel a bit cheated, would have liked more than 2 rides before I paid.

ah, so I've just entered my payment details and the membership starts on the 10th, so I do still get 7 days 'free' as I can apparently cancel before then.
Still working it out. There were lots of messages appearing top right that appeared to be between riders in a group, is this normal or did I accidentally join something?

I had one of those moments tonight.. for most of the ride... like armageddon had happened. I ended up riding solo, despite there being over 2000 people also out. And then I only got a partial ride - good job I also record it on my Garmin
