I hope the parkrun was a good ‘un XB

How’s your training going DT? Slightly colder this last week after your hols?!

6 miles completed with Rascal 3 this morning. We’ve got a damp and very cold day here and I was feeling right off so bless her she had to put up with a slightly grumbly me and some extra walk breaks.. me and his nibs are row training in a bit so all in all a good moving day

We are part of a coastal Gig rowing team, check out Harkers Yard Gigs. Four rowers and a cox and mahooosive heavy oars. It’s absolutely brilliant, I’ve no idea if I am good or avg but it’s really helped me keep run fit and get back run strength so I’ll take that!

That sounds annoying! Achillies is an injury I’ve had in the past and mighty painful. It’s good you got to parkrun though. Nice one

A tricky week here. All in all I managed some good mix training with an ERG indoor session and two decent gig rows but am worrying about lack of run miles

Need to keep going. Running daily is becoming a habit which is a big tick. I need to do some work on balance and what training I’m doing when

How are you all going?

It's been a bad week for me.Annoyingly, my back has been sore and running seemed like a bad idea.
I've managed to keep moving and have done a big hike today.
This week is looking busy; the first opportunity for a run is Friday. But I should be OK to get some walking done and I'm doing a Street Orienteering event on Wednesday.

It’s a mixed bag of training for this years reunion isn’t it. I seem to be in a strange rut that’s a mix of commitments that hamper quality training

I’m hoping for a longer run 1st thing before a day of cross training serving teas and coffees to the great unwashed in our little row club tea hut. That has to count as “time on feet”

Sunday I am in a crew for a 7 mile sea row… that also counts as cross training

Slowly and surely

Hope you are all good this side of the week and getting a splat of sunshine

About This Thread

I’m glad to know we have some of the previous runners back for this event this yet and of course mine and Northerns annual pilgrimage and meet with those of you who are coming along. Be great to see all of you. New and old faces.

There will be a very special reason to attend this year and do a start mile and end mile with Swittle in mind

Derby Tup, Northern and I plus XB and Kev Scone all want to do a something for Swittle

Last year we invented the “Rascals” named after Howarth fat rascals and also used by Swittle with his “around the rugged moors the ragged rascals ran”
