It feels this week like a real push to the start line. Watching the Olympics and also the brilliant Facebook lives of Lakeland 50/100 this year has put me right in the mood for the moors!

How are you all?

Me and Rascal3 are working on 3 more long runs and then we are bus ready whooop!! 🙌

😮☹️

I've been struggling with finding time because if I don't run first thing I don't run at all. I'm having to have a word with myself and just suck it up.

If it helps the plan in my head is that we repeat our run/stomp/run and have a day of merriment across the moors trundling our bus round to that finish line.

Training here is ok just the heats kicked me on a few of the long ones and I’m not always getting any mid week miles. I’ve been able to re introduce the beach runs this time round but only 2milers. They are gruelling so must be adding something into the tank

But yes. Yorky 24 is time for a bus day. If we like that then we’ve a year ahead to train for an attempt in 25 where we run more of it.

Bus wins this year ❤️

Just realised that this is getting very close!! Training has not gone to plan, though think I can get round on a riking basis (run/walk). Just hope we have nice weather, so we can appreciate the beautiful scenery. Hope everyone else's training is going better than mine 🤔

I don't think training ever goes to plan. Mine certainly hasn't even though my plan was "do what you can when you can".

I'm having a bit of a wibble after last week's long run. It was only 14k but it wiped me out. I'm also very short on hilly running.

Wibble wibble wibble.

We can all wibble and enjoy the views and sing and trundle along together on the bus 😊

100% trundlin’ and enjoying the moors all together. No trundler left behind ❤️🙌

About This Thread

Maintained by FRU (KeepTheFaith)
I’m glad to know we have some of the previous runners back for this event this yet and of course mine and Northerns annual pilgrimage and meet with those of you who are coming along. Be great to see all of you. New and old faces.

There will be a very special reason to attend this year and do a start mile and end mile with Swittle in mind

Derby Tup, Northern and I plus XB and Kev Scone all want to do a something for Swittle

Last year we invented the “Rascals” named after Howarth fat rascals and also used by Swittle with his “around the rugged moors the ragged rascals ran”
