Glad Biscuit’s OK, Carpathius Poor old Marv - such a gorgeous boy. Big hugs, Mandymoo ❤️ It’s horrid watching them age. Hope you get a diagnosis for Charlie soon, Alice the Camel. He’s always been such a happy boy - it’s a shame it’s getting him down 😕 It’s interesting to read how Jet is changing, Helegant. Hard to imagine such a bundle of energy slowing down that much, bless him. Our foster dog, Maisy, is a cocker spaniel and has turned 13. I think she’s a bit deaf (unless it’s selective!), has problems with her teeth and gums and has lots of little warts and bigger fatty lumps but is still pretty fit and energetic. My Mum’s terrier, George, who is kind of of half mine, is now about 12 and shows very little sign of slowing down, apart from sleeping a bit more than he used to. Sorry for the long post! Almost turned into a blog! |

Sorry to hear about Marv and Charlie. Hope the vets can sort something out for Charlie soon. Glad Biscuit doesn't seem too much worse for wear from the incident. Poor old Jet with all that's going on too. Wanda can't really jump into the boot of the car now (unless we are coming out of the vets in which case she'll attempt to leap into the boot before we've even opened it sometimes!). One of the things she learned at her classes which we thought was a bit pointless at the time was the 'paws up' command but at 20kg she's heavy to just pick up and put in the car. We started asking her for a paws up and now she puts her front paws on the tailgate and we are able to lift her up from behind and help her into the car. |

Charlie and I thank you all for the good wishes and sympathy! He had a reasonable night sleeping off the anaesthetic and is indeed sleeping today away too, by the looks of it. He seemed quite sore and agitated at breakfast time but has had painkillers since which seem to have settled things down again. He hasn't been for a pee yet, it's been 24 hours since I last saw him go... He's looking sorry for himself and with 4 wound sites is finding it difficult to get comfy. Sleep is the best thing for now. We're back at the vets on Monday for a check up. |

I know you've seen this terrible evidence before ...but it's good for a laugh. Even when a younger Jess was entirely capable of leaping into the boot of our car she refused to do so. The truth of the matter: she likes Raffo picking her up. Here's a very recent pic. Relaxed dog or what! |

I think she weighs about 30kgs, perhaps a bit more. Here's how the story unfolded... |
