Mad Dog Jess developed thyroid issues after we'd had her spayed (about 18 months old). Once we got the balance of drugs right, she was able to live a good life with the condition for many years.

Ours have been fine since we got the dose right. Cookie had pre medication hair loss on his tail that hasn’t returned. Apart from that, all good.

Thank you both. Did you get the medication directly from the vet or is there a more cost effective way?

My grandson has just made me a key ring in tech at school - it replaced the bead one he made at nursery over 10 years ago that broke

We get ours direct film the vet for ease, same with their loxicom.
Now their meds are sorted and balanced we are on blood tests every 6 months for it.

We got it from the vet, Mandy. Jess used to lose a patch of her coat on her left side every time the medication needed adjusting, but it always grew back. She used to be a golden brindle but that patch grew back darker each time.

Not the best pic, but Tigg had a bit of a shock when he went to his water bowl after his morning walk. As did I, really! It must have got in last night as we had the patio doors open, and the neighbours have a pond. It couldn’t get out as the bowl is slippery, so I deposited it back outside where it hopped off.

And that shouldn't have been on this thread 😂😂
We get our loxicom on line as even paying for the prescription at the vets if works out cheaper, much cheaper

Biscuit has been told he's a bit fat by the vet!!!!
This is the dog who we've always struggled to get to look like he's not starving, and can't seem to get him over 23-and-a-bit kilos.
Thing is, I cannot see any fat on him anywhere. He's just skin, muscle and you can just see his ribs and spine and the point of his hip bones.
