Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Our JRT Shambles turns 15 in October - slowed down a bit but still a great companion and a lovely dog.

Arlo has been a bit growly again recently. Just not himself. Had him at the vets for his glands today (which were done about 6 weeks ago) and they were very full. So that should explain it.

Really don’t know what to do about it. As while it’s better than the every 2 weeks it used to be, it’s still not good and must be uncomfortable for him. And he hasn’t really shown many signs other than becoming a big growly.

Marvin suffers with his glands too - regular trips to have them done. Not a job I would want to do

Charlie has his glands emptied about every 6 weeks, something that bothers our vet not a jot as apparently it’s completely usual in a lot of small dog breeds.

What’s bothering us more is that Charlie’s eyes are still causing him discomfort, after surgery on 6 April. We’ve had 5 appointments since to try different things to stop the eyelids bleeding. He’s now booked in with an ophthalmologist in Swindon as our vet has run out of ideas. That’ll take place on Friday.

No Christmas presents this year, kids! 💰💰💰
