Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Fingers crossed the specialist can sort it out Alice. Does the insurance not cover it?

Flossie has had to overcome a lifetime's aversion to plastic grass this week. This rental house has a pleasant small garden but the only toileting option is said grass - nearest proper grass is a good 10 minute walk away and the flower beds are all raised behind stone walls. The other two dogs have no issue with it (there's a handy garden hose to keep things clean.) You can tell she feels she's transgressed in some way :-(

Aw, poor Floss! Trying to do the right thing - or rather not do the wrong one. Love her.

Our niece's was giving Mrs TR a lift to an uncle's funeral today - some 2 hours away so an all day trip. This left me looking after our niece's 18 week old Springer pup

In between the occasional mad twenty minutes she spent a lot of time asleep on my knee

Frankie tolerated her but wasn't impressed

Sorcha would just like to point out that it is International Dog Day today. Which means more treats, apparently.

Asking for a (canine) friend....

If a dog of - say - 21kg ate half a dozen (very) cheap supermarket version of Tunnocks tea cakes (very thin chocolate - probably not even real chocolate - coating) and said dog already had previous in this area AND it was the evening of a bank holiday Monday....would you go to the vets or just see what they were like in the morning! Oh and a gluten free macaroon type thing.

Some friends were in the area so we said pop round for a cuppa and a chocolate tea cake in the garden, but in the time it took to go to the door and let them in it turned out to be just a cuppa!
