The epileptic one is concerning me today.
She had a little seizure about 8pm yesterday, seemed to be a bit blind for a few minutes afterwards, but then was more or less herself again.
This afternoon, between 12:30 and one she had quite a big seizure, which seemed to happen in two stages, sort of came out of it very slowly then had another two seizures I quick succession without coming round at all really in between. At that point we gave her the emergency valium.
Since then (it's now 20 to 4) she's been pacing constantly, while still seeming to have impaired vision; often walking into corners and seeming to get stuck, or into obstacles which are shorter than her and being unsteady on her feet to start with, though now she's walking with more control and avoiding most obstacles.
She won't settle but has had a few drinks of water, and (either because she's confused about how to get outside or completely forgotten the basics of house training) has had a pee and a poop in the living room.
It's a national holiday here today, so our normal vets are closed, but I think I'll have to call the hospital and see if we can get an appointment with her neurologist tomorrow, even if we have to drive to the clinic an hour or more away (he only works at the clinic twenty minutes away on Wednesdays).

She's presumably quite stressed and confused, though right now to a casual observer she probably looks like she's perfectly fine and just wandering around happily sniffing things...
The hospital are going to see when they can fit her in with a neurologist tomorrow and call me back.

Oh no Rae, I hope it's just a short lived post-ictal thing

Oh poor dog, Rae, and how worrying for you. I hope things improve and/or the hospital can sort her out.
Flossie has a very upset tummy today We came down to a fair bit of mess this morning, and when I got back from my run (OH was out on his bike) there was yet more squiffiness. Right now she's asleep on the sofa next to me and is *very* smelly. However, when awake, she seems as perky as normal. Presumably she's eaten something though goodness knows what and where.

Oh dear Rae, that sounds very distressing for you and her, it will be a relief if they can see her so soon. Best wishes. And poor Flossie, its so hard when you dont know what she has picked up, I hope the problem is short lived.

Sorry to hear that Rae, hope you can get an appointment tomorrow.
And poor Flossie too - I dread to think of whatever tasty thing she thought she'd discovered that you would never know about

Thanks folks
We have an appointment for her at 9am. She's a lot better physically now, walking fine and vision back to normal, but she still won't sit down. She's been pacing non stop for the last six hours and is like a completely different dog.
She must get tired enough to stop sooner later, but I don't know how feeding her is going to go, or how she (or any of the rest of us, for that matter) will sleep over night.
