They were concerned that the muscles around his eye might have been affected by the mass, leaving him with a droop, but thankfully everything still seems to be working ok. Apart from the indignity of having to wear a pink cone (I’m not sure why he objects, I’ve raised him to be a 21st century man), he’s almost back to his normal self. We have medication and eye drops to administer and he needs to take things gently for a few days and not disturb the stitches. The lump has been sent off for analysis but they’re pretty sure it’s benign. It’s been a very quiet day, I’m pleased to have my boy home again.
