Good to hear Alice. Wanda has a clear cone - I don't think they had the option of different colours at our vets.

Meanwhile we are seriously considering giving her one of the sedatives they gave us to administer as needed - boredom is starting to set in I think and although she'd normally be fast asleep at this time of the evening she is currently intent of making mischief. I suppose that's a good sign but I don't really need my study's waste paper bin investigated again this evening!

Good news that all our 'poorly' dogs are now doing quite well.

Meanwhile Jess was at the vets this affie. Raffo took her and given that it was merely for her annual jab and check up she made a terrible fuss in the waiting room. There was a half hour wait during which she whimpered, cried and shivered (extremely thick fur coat notwithstanding).

Nice vet saw her outside in the car park where she had her jab, and quick check over with no trouble. They didn't bother going back inside for a weighing as she is neither too fat nor too thin and that's pretty easy to ascertain.

Silly old Jess!

Flossie disgraced herself when we went to the vets with her toothache or whatever it was. Obviously on high alert in the waiting room, she barked very crossly at an elderly and inoffensive beagle who came in after her :-0 Very unlike her.

There's no doubt, vet visits are stressful for our dogs.

I met a gorgeous elderly red setter when I was sat in the waiting room with Charlie yesterday. I was talking to a vet nurse when I became aware of a weight on my left arm - the setter had wandered over and was resting her head on me! Such beautiful, soulful eyes ❤️

57.5 Degrees of Pain
I imagine it's like us sitting waiting for a dental appointment that no-one told us about. In a waiting room with more alpha male 'politics' than a rough Glasgow pub. Where some of the 'customers' view others as a nice snack.

All sounds promising for Charlie, AtC. Hope he’s happy to have a quiet day.

Sitting in the car park while Mrs TR is in the vets with Frankie (Shih Tzu cross). He's been sick a few time the last two or three days and whilst he had been eating normally this morning he won't even show an interest in his favourite treats. Could be something or nothing - have to see what the vet says..
