That’s fab. Much more aesthetically pleasing than our metal one.

That’s amazing Roberto!
Albie doesn’t like being shut in his crate much now - the crate is in his pen so he gets shut in the pen. Sometimes that goes well and sometimes he protests a lot! At night he’s fine (mostly).
I feel like the worst puppy parent tonight. I shouted at him quite a bit, lost it and got really upset (as did he). He’d been food pestering, barking and biting. It’s so hard when alone to stay calm and level headed sometimes. Then I felt really bad that I’d scared him a bit. I think we’ve made up (hopefully anyway). Sometimes I really wonder if I’m cut out for this. I miss my old life a lot! Though maybe I’d miss him in a strange kind of way.
When do they calm down? 😩😂

Thank guys. He has been a pain ever since we put it there. Just repeatedly trying to pull everything out through the closed doors. He only gets put in his crate for bed (or if he chooses when left as we put his pen around it).
Don't worry Pen, even with 2 of us, we have both had times when we have lost it and shouted at Arlo and got upset. I've had some real battles with his as well, one which spilled over to the next morning and he had no idea how to react as I was still fed up. Its challenging but I'd also be lost without him.
I don't know about greyhounds though, so I hope it gets easier soon for you.

Is anyone else having difficulty getting a vets appointment at the moment? I asked about a 6 month check with our local practice today and was told they weren't doing them as result of lockdown. I really want Callie checked over since am concerned about her sitting down on walks (more frequent again - she does it whether people are about or not), she has never attempted to jump on the sofa/bed and am a bit worried she is placing too much weight on her front paws when walking/playing. Something doesn't seem quite right. Which I am trying not be be paranoid or neurotic about since have had dogs with hip dysplasia in the past. Having had the third degree from the receptionist he is now going to pass the info on to the nurses who will let me know if they will make an appointment. Appreciate things are difficult for them but wondering if this is the norm or perhaps a result of it being a very small practice. Am also starting to think when should I get her spayed and if should do so before her first heat. Little opportunity to ask advice

We have always been able to get appointments, usually for the same week. Arlo had his health check a month ago. We have problems actually getting through to someone to make the appt, but once we do it's fine.
But the practice has numerous branches throughout northumberland and the main branch is pretty big. I think it is the same as other professions really, some areas are working more normally than others. Depends how each individual views the risks.

No problem with vets appointments here, although I’m not allowed in with Charlie, I have to hand him over and wait in the car park.

Same as Alice, for us. As regards spaying, our vet recommended letting all of ours have one season, then wait a couple of months, then do it.
