Rory reacts to a door bell on TV like he’s expecting a delivery of live rabbits from Amazon...but I don’t have a doorbell!

Luna is now back to 13.7kg (from 12.2kg when she was ill) since she started back on a raw diet. Just back from a run and very tired now

Beautiful, happy dog SjA.
Arlo loses it at the doorbell, a knock at the door, anyone walking past the house or the car.
Currently underweight according the the vet who wasn't actually worried and said she would prefer to see a slightly underweight than overweight dog. Unfortunately he isn't eating much at the moment. Not sure if he is feeling a little ill as been a bit aggressive again. Dog walkers dogs both have kennel cough, and while he hasn't seen them for 2 weeks, not sure if he had some very mild symptoms of it.

I couldn’t help shaking my head at Ernie on the lunchtime walk. He recalls at a more leisurely pace that may or may not involve stopping to sniff something.

I think Albie has lost a second puppy canine 😮🤞🤞🤞 It’s hard to take a proper look in his mouth until he’s more sleepy 😬
He’s had a great time off lead with the dog walker. She had the advantage of other dogs (who he will stay close to) and knowing good places that are away from other people and traffic.

Just had an awful night with Albie. Really don’t know what I should have done for the best. He woke an hour after bedtime (unusual as he normally is quiet in his pen through the whole night once he’s gone to bed). He had an evening of not settling so was very over tired.
He was totally frantic. Crying, yelping and howling and jumping at the pen. I went down a few times and he was totally over wrought - pacing, panting and wanting cuddles. Every time I left he yelped and howled and was jumping at the pen. In the end in total desperation (it was past midnight with no end of this in sight) he came up into my room. After some pacing he settled and went to sleep curled up on my bed. I dozed on and off and at 4am was able to take him down to his pen where he slept the rest of the night calmly.
I’m really hoping we don’t have a repeat tonight! Not sure how best to tackle this if it repeats. To his credit he wasn’t bitey which is an improvement.
He’s now snoozing voluntarily in his pen 🙄

That's so hard - I wonder if something outside had spooked him and made him jump so he woke up stressed. Did he show any interest in going outside and 'chasing away' whatever it was? If Wanda is unsettled at night I let her out in the garden and she flies up and down it and round to the side gate then having patrolled and given the garden the all clear she is happy to come in and settle. However Wanda's make up is entirely 'guarding' breeds so that behaviour is in her DNA

We went outside a couple of times and he did a wee bit it didn’t settle him. He was quite alert. I don’t know if the light from the full moon may have played a role. I can’t cut the light out fully from the room as it’s open plan and the kitchen has a skylight and the patio doors don’t have curtains. It didn’t seem that bright when I came down but you never know. His pen is in the living room part.

It does sound like something spooked him if he usually sleeps through. Arlo has had a couple of bad nights when he used to react to other dogs barking, but he has learnt to ignore them now so is generally silent when in his crate. (His new wooden one should be finished tomorrow).
What does everyone feed their pups? Arlos always been on wainwrights but isn't really eating it now. Just bought a smaller bag of millies wolfheart, has anyone used it?

I tried Charlie on Millie’s briefly. He liked it but it was quite smelly and stained the white fur round his mouth and bum hole so it didn’t last long
