Yes the first time we took Floss to a cafe and were served (outside) by a waiter wearing a facemask Flosstook a very dim view of him and barked loudly, much to our embarrassment.
On a lighter note she also had to growl and bark at an illuminated reindeer we passed in a garden last week

Rory really dislikes things that look like other things - there's a house near us with a stone hedgehog outside. HATES it.
He also had to be removed the first time he saw a dog (a dog he knows and likes!) wearing a plastic collar from the vet.

People wearing hats freaked Wanda out - we don't know if it was to do with something i her past (perhaps being mistreated by someone who wore a hat) or just that she hadn't experienced it before.

Met a Kangal/Turkish Shepherd Dog today - huge dog, looked to me about Great Dane size but there wasn’t a GD around for comparison. Absolutely sweet-natured dog, very sociable and loved attention. Huge paws, thick fleece and dark face. Sadly, being a rescue, he’d had his ears clipped as a pup. Very calm and friendly. Didn’t someone on here have a dog a bit like that?

Happy New Year everyone! Thank you so much for all the support. It makes a real difference knowing others have been through the same stuff.
I hope next year brings better things for all of us!

Happy new year all.
Arlo has decided he now doesn't like fireworks which have been happening since about 6pm. He barks at every bang. He completely ignored them all on bonfire night.

There are quite a lot going off! Albie seems fine with them generally. When one went off close by when he was out in the garden, he was a bit spooked and climbed into my lap but with the more distanced ones he doesn’t seem to notice.

We have to give our Alfie tranquillisers every time there are due to be fireworks as he gets very wound up, constant panting, can't stay still, won't go outside. He's terrified of them (he has no reason to be, it's just the way he is) and every bonfire night and New Years it just makes me so angry that more and more people use them in residential areas.

Two stressed dogs last night with the fireworks. It was like Bonfire night from about 18:00 till after midnight. They’ve been sleepy today.

We were lucky - very few early evening and we were all asleep before midnight so don't know if there were many then. Ollie doesn't bother but Frankie barks at them.
