Much quieter here tonight. Hope we’ve seen off the crash, bang and pops for another year :-)

WFH and turned round to find the dog in the laundry basket.

He has a crate with a bed in the same room.

He's back in there. I might need to buy him his own washing basket.

Morning Fetch friends and dog lovers. I’m posting this here on the off-chance that someone here might be able to help.

My cousin Ben died a couple of years ago. His devoted border collie, Blue, was re-homed with a friend of the family but now, due to those people’s I’ll-health, needs a new home. I would love to have Blue myself, he is a wonderful dog, but we are just not about enough during the day to give him the company and outside time he needs. Can anyone here help or offer advice? He currently lives in the South Kent/E Sussex area.

This below is the message Ben’s sister sent out.

”Hello family, we're wondering if anyone may know of anyone who can help us to find a home for Ben's border collie, Blue. The elderly man who has him on his small farm has just lost his wife and is in very poor health himself, so reluctantly having to let go of Blue who has been a good companion. Blue is now 12 years old, extremely intelligent and definitely a one dog / one owner kind of a dog - not suited to a multi dog environment. He has pedigree papers and, although not a working collie, he is very true to type - very intelligent. We are not dog people, but as you know, very fond of Blue, so any information you might have about where he could be happily rehomed would be v gratefully received.”

I don't have any solutions but wish you well in your search. Maybe ask on some of the specialist dog FB pages such as Agilitynet? It's stuffed full of collie owners who may have encoutered this issue before.
