I have a spotty collie who is terrified of German Shepherds. No reason why, because he's never been bothered by one, but he freaks out every time he sees one.

Then again, he also likes to chase tractors, buses and motorbikes. Moron.

I have put on 2 TVs, the radio, the washing machine and the dishwasher. Rory has retreated to the top of the stairs, but at least he currently appears to be asleep up there.

We have a very unsettled Cookie and a restless, trying to sleep, Phoebe. Classic FM on at the moment, with a selection from Bill Turnbull that are supposedly soothing for dogs.

Dogs not doing too well right now. I think they may be in the bedroom tonight with us.

Having cancelled our plans we have so far had no fireworks. Ernie is with me and I have the iplayer on so hopefully he won't notice if any do start up.

Classic ska blasting out here. Tuss had a bit of a dance with Stef when she came in from running and is okay at the moment. We’ve been leaving the radio on in the kitchen where he sleeps at night and he’s been doing well so far. Hopefully tonight is the last ‘heavy’ one

Bill Turnbull failed, but outright knackeredness has taken over.

Tuss unsettled now after what sounded like an attempt to blow up a neighbours house a while ago

After two years I finally took the plunge this evening and reported my neighbours to the SSPCA.

That poor bloody dog (a vicious as fuck Westie) is locked out from 7-11am daily, then from 1-4pm, barks incessantly because it's bored to tears, and tonight was almost catatonic with panic when it was kicked out just before 6pm and left outside to deal with the fireworks all by itself for at least two hours.

Why the actual fuck get a dog if you're not willing to care for it? Dog Almighty, give me hounds over people any day!

What an awful story. That's no life for a dog.
