Maybe it looks like a snake?

Gingerbread shouldn't harm Jet at all. Mr was upset because he left the doors open, but no harm has been done. Mr will do it again, and Jet will do it again...

Rory does have a big red and yellow furry squeaky snake that he’s very dedicated to keeping under control
I really fancy making some gingerbread now.

Shark the Herald Angel
I'd be through those doors and stealing the gingerbread too!

Gingerbread is on our list for Christmas baking over the weekend. Glad to know it's not toxic for dogs. I think mince pies will be the main hazard.
I am relieved to hear that all the other fetch dogs are totally daft in their own special ways.

Have been AWOL for a while and have just caught up with all your lovely stories. Just love dogs and especially Fetch dogs. Glad that Jet and Floss didn't suffer any unpleasant after-effects. Love the photos of Indi and Jess For a terrier, George is very Labrador-like when it comes to food. He once snaffled a small box of chocs from the dining room table while my Mum wasn't looking and since then, we're much more careful about leaving food around. He'll eat anything he finds lying around in the street or on the towpath though. If we go to a seaside town or somewhere else where there's lots of dropped takeaway food, he thinks he's died and gone to heaven.

Wanda will steal some things off the work surface if she thinks the prize is worth the effort, for example a couple of days ago we were going out for the evening and it was a real rush to cook a quick stirfry and get out on time. I left all the empty packaging on the side (out of reach I thought) but when we returned the tray the meat had been in and the microwave pouch that had contained rice were both in Wanda's bed licked spotless, the sauce sachet and veg tray abandoned in disgust on the floor. But had it been a veggie only stirfry I doubt she would have bothered to make the effort to get it.
Out on walks she will also eat anything if she can get to it quickly enough and I do mean ANYTHING (think of the most horrible things you can and double it!) A sharp 'leave it' with the offer of something better may work if she considers the reward better, but a 'drop it' never works....once in the mouth there is no chance it's coming out again even if I try to get my fingers in there......

Yesterday Ernie discovered the water in the Christmas tree stand. Why bother going to the kitchen when there's water right there in the living room.
