I must admit, until they got to the swimming bit I was wondering how to apply to take part (the fact that everyone who was taking part was probably best part of 30 years my junior was irrelevant!!)

That must be the prog Raffo and I watched last week. We weren't that keen (dissenting voices?) ... and to be honest thought the cycling thing looked a nightmare! Perhaps we just imagined Jess zooming to one side and pulling us over. I'm an ok cyclist but.... no way!

I used to take my previous Labrador for a run alongside my bike many years ago. She'd run perfectly with a loose lead, but she took a sudden detour off the pavement to the kerbside for a poo stop one day! When a solid-built Lab stops dead like that, it's like someone throwing an anchor overboard. Needless to say, she stopped, then the bike stopped, then I went flying!

Wouldn't fancy cycling my springer (and I've just noticed that *same* got "corrected" to "smells* in my last post...)
