o.k., the route style below worked out at 10.59. I can't think of a better way

Is my 1v1 match with StellaFella1967 close?

Well he has covered 192, I have coverd 190.
Between us every square is taken.
And it is 107:106.

So yeah, it's pretty close :-)

Whoever wins will deserve it.

He has done 48.1km run, 63.9km walk
I have done 30.8km run, 54.3km bike, 6.5km walk

Anyone know who can fix the excellent "WSWM In-play v1.1" spreadsheet?

I tried the Search facility and reviewed the most pins posts in this thread, but didn't find the answer.

The link I use is docs.google.com

The spreadhsheet loads, and a status cell says "Downloading data from FE @ Fri Jun 02 2023 09:15:54 GMT-0400 (Eastern Daylight Time)"

But the main data table only shows 4 competitors - presumably a previous semi-final week.

Yes, I need to do some updating to pointers and such. And also it may have overflowed the amount of data for google sheets. 😫

57.5 Degrees of Pain
The badge is only available to be won once. Those at the top of the rankings will likely be in the top 10 most weeks. Will the WSW badge hamsters only count the top 10 of those that haven't won on previous weeks? And.... will there be an ongoing leaderboard of, say, top 100 all time most efficient routes?
I don't see many prolific players being more efficient than someone trying to be efficient, unless they have a regular route that fits the criteria. I had to start at a random spot and finish before my cul-de-sac for maximum efficiency, normally I wouldn't bother.

The top 100 idea is good though.

If you take a row of 13x2 squares and run in an almost straight line just dipping across the centre line you can visit 26 squares in about 2.4km for 10.78 km/sq. Running the diagonals will be less efficient the straight across or down thanks to Pythagoras and all that.

I think you’ve nailed it Pothunter. I came up with the same in order to cover the whole grid: fetcheveryone.com/blog-share.php?id=443142

Just taking part of the bottom grid would give the best way of covering 25 squares (the bottom two rows and not the last two columns on the right).

I’ve written a blog to theorise about the WSW efficiency:
