Can't be much motorway in a WSW grid.

So now there's a badge :-)

Be in the top 10 efficient grabbers by 11.58am each Monday to earn the Twinkle Toes badge:

Is this across the whole week, or just in your most efficient activity? Also is it 25 squares minimum?

57.5 Degrees of Pain
Managed to bag 31 within 5k on my regular commute. I knew it was quite an efficient route for a rural area (more by luck than planning) but now that RunRuss has trumped it I'll have to see if there are any tweaks to add tomorrow.

57.5 Days of Xmas your new target will before too long be around 7.5sq/km. I did the first part of a common efficient route today as a single ride, but crucially forgot to do a "dink" in to a square so ended up with 24 squares in 3.2km

On the bright side scrutinising what I rode, I can shave off maybe 100m and the dink will only add 40m or so.

I'm pleased to see my 6.38sq/km from a 10.35km run where the final part recovers some ground. I planned it to be efficient, nice to get numerical confirmation that it was :-)

Looks like the most efficient 25 squares I can visit on this route will be about 3.5km or a bit over 7 per km RunRuss. Might find better in suburbia at the weekend.

JCB just entered the fray with 6.85sq/km for a 41 squares run of 5.99km, very nice running.

Wow, it's hard to get up the top of the efficiency table! On my first real attempt I ended up 10th in the table with 25 squares in 4.47km. I guess I need to look at the GPS and see how many corners I can cut!

Ok, I reckon if I redo it I could get up to 5th with a bit of luck. To get higher would take a different route.

The early days of something like this are always exciting as we all try work out the best strategies.

I wonder what the best possible score is given a perfect grid placement with no restrictions.
