Sorry I wasn’t as ‘recovering from surgery’ as I thought! I’m well enough to go back to work this week which will really eat into my time so those folks up the rankings table will be running rings around me!

Hopefully it was a couple of easier weeks for you from the point of view of the competition. I never really sorted out where I was running and with home, running club and races all in different places, I put up even less of a fight than I might have done. Well done to us on the badges, though!

I have been lucky in those 4 games in that they were all against lower ranked opponents. I was hoping for another favourable draw to get 5 wins in a row. Sadly I was drawn against the top dog who in our previous games has handed out a hefty beating every time
