If your walks import as cross training, and you don't always remember to change it, you can make this happen automatically. Go to your training log, click the Settings button, and tick the box marked "Use Walking as default cross-train activity".

Activity indoors sounds like it might be impossible, though some people manage it somehow. I'm not an expert at what activity types count, but I thought they all did in principle. *you never get given a square. You own a square if you've scored more points in it than your opponent.

So if you change type from running (2 points per square) to cycling (1 point), the points go down. So, if you change from walking to something that doesn't get points, your score will go down.
