oh no, DeeGee!
I did that once, forgot to start my watch on a walk to or from work (forget which), it's maddening, isn't it?

I'm 50th at mo, so should be in multiplayer next week? I may have a go at bike and walk in my 4 local squares for the week and see what kind of score it gets me? Would be minimal extra effort, plus my usual distance runs and see what that does? :-) G

Can you add the route manually DeeGee? I've deployed the bike today, forgot how nice it is, only the second ride this year. Can cover some serious squares with minimal effort

Sorry DeeGee - couldn't help but laugh at first - glad it's not just me that does that. ;)

funkyPOM - unfortunately, no he can't - this game only works with GPS generated routes

I made a bit of a cock-up this week - meant to take another week off as I'm DIYing. Not going to be running/cycling or owt til tomorrow at the earliest. And now I find I'm drawn against RRR-Caz so he'll have an easy win this week :-)

I've added week 6 into the multiplayer spreadsheet: fetcheveryone.com/blog/91900/2019/10#398645

I've added a graph for 'grid total'. Grid total is defined as the minimum number of points needed to own every square. When the round starts, grid total is 225. I've also calculated some score averages for some of the rounds played recently.

Did you need yesterday's screenshot JCB? Or is it there and just not showing up on my phone?

HappyG: since it is top 128 who enter multiplayer (plus a few extra for ones on leave), you are not only going to make it, you're practically seeded ;-)

Sounds like you are thinking of trying to make it through the first round by owning your local squares? If so then the obvious risk is that there's a load of others going to do exactly the same thing. Even just picking some squares which are near but not right at the should improve your chances.

Personally I went for the opposite approach last time, which was make it through on the number explored. Usually 70 to 80 is enough, last time it was 150+. I remember waking up early on the Monday morning worrying I needed to go out and get some more 😰

I am now ranked at 128. I hope this isn't the beginning of a WSW addiction.
