How do you claim cake squares? I thought they became extinct once it went to a cake off?

the next person to record an activity in the square will take the cake, GG.

Cake squares are those where the 'current' score is tied - you claim them by logging an activity in them before your opponent does

Cake just means no overall leader in that square at the moment. Next one in becomes owner. Until next one in!! Cake just means "even" (at the mo!) :-) G

A fun game variant would be capture the flag.

Own a square. Own all squares round it. Opponent can't get "in" (i.e. they can run there but doesn't score). You could "zone bits off" etc. Fun! :-) G

Roberton you'll have a much easier week this week. I moved my grid a few weeks ago, it's not where I want it and being a very mature sort of person I've had a strop and not really trained since!

Don't want to quit the game though as I know the mojo will return at some point, so I'm coasting down the rankings and enjoying the view.

Feature suggestion 674 :) G - current voting suggests only 20% of those with an opinion (i.e. people who haven't said 'Meh') share your enthusiasm

As somebody whose grid contains large numbers of inaccessible squares and very few fully accessible 3x3 'blocks', I'm with the 80% - for me, it wouldn't be fun but more likely to cause me to leave the game entirely.

Going back a few pages to answer Daddy Shark - I was proposing a new badge. Since it is possible to score an ocho on Monday afternoon, then one per day until Sunday and then One on Monday morning you could score 64 points in a square in a game week. Hence chess board :-)

It would take quite a commitment, but if I know Fetchies there would be a few up for it :-)

Poppy you can move your grid after just 7 days - if it was a few weeks ago you should be abl,e to reposition now, surely?
